Baja California is a rare destination that offers a great getaway year long. Peak time for travel is when weather is temperate in the low 20ºc range and whale watching opportunities are at their best (late-November to April). This also includes the festive vacation and New Year period. Cool temperatures are ideal for desert adventures and hiking and boating for wildlife viewing and island exploration. Summer (April to September) can be hot and humid but the beaches are less crowded. Summer waters are ideal for snorkeling and diving. Hurricanes are much less common than in the Caribbean, but it is something to be aware of for September and October travel which is considered low season.
Baja is blessed with two marine life rich oceans; the Sea of Cortez to the east has a warmer sea temperature than the more exposed than the Pacific Ocean to the west.
Todos Santos makes a good base for surf trips, in the winter (Nov-March) the best breaks are south of Todos Santos at Cerritos Beach. This is a 15-minute drive from Guaycura. Todos Santos attracts lots of surfers who enjoy the restaurants and gentle nightlife of the town with easy access to the beach each day.

Fly to La Paz
La Paz, Baja California, Mexico
Touch down in Baja California, the earth’s second-longest peninsula offering over 1,200km of the mystical, majestic and untamed. Dive headfirst into the start of this awesome adventure on the charming promenade of La Paz. Arrive at your hotel after a short 20-minute drive from the airport ready to be revived and warmly welcomed before you immerse yourself in the magic Baja California has to show you. Staying at the sumptuous Posada de Las Flores, you will feel a sense of home in this boutique, family-run property with its authentic ambience, colonial style Mexican residence and luxurious modern touches. Feeling refreshed from your flight, step onto the Malecon seafront and wander along the lively promenade bursting with local artists at work, buzzing restaurants, pulsating shops and extravagant ice-cream parlours. In the early evening, savor a refreshing drink in one of the many neighboring restaurants and watch the promenade come alive with locals appreciating the dramatic evening sunset.

Isla Espiritu Santo
Step off the tourist trail for the next leg of your journey, as you take a short boat ride and escape to the idyllic Isla Espiritu Santo. If you’re visiting between December and March, you won’t want to miss the opportunity to get up close to the mighty and majestic whale sharks on an unforgettable snorkeling experience. For the next leg of your adventure, you’ll drive an hour south to the authentic Mexican town of Todos Santos.
