Location
Nambwa is perched on the banks of the Kwando River in Namibia's lush Caprivi.
Nambwa Lodge is an exceptional lodge located on the banks of the Kwando River in the Mashi Conservancy of the Bwabwata National Park. The concession is home to more than 35 large and small game species and more than 330 bird species.
Immerse yourself in the magic of the Caprivi, where lions roar in the darkness and the bush buzzes all around.
Nestled amid the trees, watch elephants from your deck as they slowly walk to the river.
Spend a languid afternoon gliding down the waterways of the Caprivi on a boat cruise, perhaps with a cold drink in hand, with hippos singing in the distance and the wildlife sauntering along the water's edge.
Go deeper and discover the rich culture of the Caprivi as well as the various eco projects Nambwa undertakes when visiting Sijwa Island.
The lodge is situated in the heart of the Kavango Zambezi Trans Frontier Conservation Area (KAZA) and offers ten luxury tented suites, all built up in the trees to give exceptional views over the Kwando River and the surrounding floodplains that are teeming with wildlife.
Suites are spacious with en-suite facilities, a private deck with stunning views, and all suites are accessed by wooden walkways branching out from the main lodge.
Activities on offer at Nambwa Tented Lodge vary greatly, and include guided game drives in open safari vehicles, motorized boat cruises, guided bush walks, bush breakfasts, sundowners, visits to the local villages, and relaxing mokoro cruises. The lodge is also the only property authorized in the area to conduct night drives, giving you an excellent opportunity to spot nocturnal species such as leopards, bushbabies, civets, genets, aardvarks, and much more!
