Places to Visit in Namibia

Starting in the capital of Windhoek with its strong German influences, embark on a road trip taking in the sweeping sand dunes of the Namib Desert at Sossusvlei followed by the coastal city of Swakopmund, which gives you a taste of Namibia’s rugged and dramatic coastline. From there, head north into Damaraland famed for its rare desert-adapted species and ancient rock art, before finishing with a safari in Etosha National Park, where wildlife abounds. If you would prefer to do something completely different, consider visiting some of the farthest-flung reaches of the Skeleton Coast, hiking Fish River Canyon or venturing to the lush waterways of the Caprivi Strip.
