The Cape Cadogan is an historic boutique hotel dating from the 19th century and nestled in the heart of Cape Town's City Bowl, on the lower slopes of Table Mountain. The house itself holds an important place in the history and evolution of the city and was declared a national monument in 1984.
A beautiful veranda fronts the hotel and billowing white drapes flow around the doorway. Although you are only moments from the central buzz of Cape Town, the hotel is an oasis of calm and provides a relaxing retreat from exploring the city.
There are 15 opulently appointed rooms, of which seven are luxury rooms, seven are classic and one is a superior luxury suite. All are en-suite and design forward. Each is beautifully yet slightly differently decorated with great views of Cape Town. It is a small, intimate hotel providing an excellent base from which to explore Cape Town’s historical sites, beaches and entertainment as well as some of South Africa’s most renowned vineyards.
The hotel has a wonderful courtyard where there is a small private plunge pool and space to relax, in the winter months a lounge room with fireplace and a library are a more suitable place for relaxing.
Facilities in your room include wireless internet access, flat screen television and DVD player. There are numerous restaurants and bars on nearby Kloof Street and further afield are the Constantia vineyards, Cape Point Nature Reserve and Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. Complimentary transfers between the hotel and V&A Waterfront are available at certain times of day.
