Tucked away in the Kruger National Park, Jock’s Safari Lodge is designed to blend seamlessly into its surrounds, with just twelve thatched suites spread along the riverbed, each shielded by reeds and trees to create a private oasis. Along a series of winding walkways, the main lodge offers a focal point to the accommodation, with a comfortable lounge, library, exercise room and sauna.

The tastefully appointed suites draw their influence from the natural beauty of the park, with neutral tones, romantic beds draped in diaphanous netting and a low-key elegance throughout the decor. Private decks complete with plunge pool and views of the riverbed and wilderness beyond create the sense of being truly ensconced in nature.

Meals can be taken in the privacy of your own room, or with other guests in the main dining area, surrounded by trees and warmed by the fire pit. The cozy lounge is an ideal retreat after a day’s activity, perfect for sitting back with a sundowner to discuss the day’s sightings with fellow guests.

To discover the staggering diversity of wildlife contained within the Kruger National Park, morning and evening game drives can be taken from Jock’s, offering the chance to catch sight of vast herds of buffalo, elephants wallowing in the watering holes and predators such as hyenas, leopard and lion. Get closer to the smaller flora and fauna on foot with a Wilderness Walk, and allow the experienced guides of the camp to bring this rich ecozystem to life.
