The Marriott Resort & Spa is the ideal place to relax either before or after exploring the sights and thrills of Seoul and South Korea. A volcanic island, Jeju is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, owing to its magnificent lava tubes and coastal rock pillars. The hotel is located on the clifftop at Seogwipo on the southern coast, with stunning views across the East China Sea.

The hotel’s design is rooted in Jeju’s natural wonders, taking inspiration from the rugged coastline, lava rocks and native grasses, honoring both traditional Korean hanok architecture and upscale 21st century contemporary style, facilities, and sustainability. The grey and blue palette is enlivened with hits of sunny yellow and public spaces showcase vibrant modern artworks. A great destination for a family vacation, this low-rise resort offers spacious high-end accommodation, both indoor and outdoor pools, a choice of dining venues, spa, and gym.

Rooms and suites are infused with soothing minimalist décor and boast floor-to-ceiling windows. All include a comfortable seating area, sofa bed, Wi-Fi, satellite LED TV, Chromecast, climate control, mini fridge, safety deposit box and tea and coffee making facilities. Marble ensuite bathrooms feature oversized tubs, double vanities, hairdryer, robes, and slippers. All include a balcony with a choice of garden or sea view, and all sleep up to two guests but there are connecting rooms for families and the option to book a Family Suite, with two bedrooms.

The Island Kitchen is the Marriott’s informal signature restaurant, serving locally sourced seasonal produce, including the island’s celebrated black pork, along with unlimited caviar and champagne. With more of a smart casual vibe, the Flying Hog serves delicious grilled BBQ options. Additionally, guests can enjoy afternoon tea and a selection of bakery treats in the Lounge.

The resort features a fabulous infinity pool, as well as both indoor and a further outdoor pool. For a satisfying workout, head to the Re Active fitness center, before relaxing with a hot stone massage at the spa. Close to Seogwipo Maeil Olle Market, and Jeju’s natural wonders including the volcanic crater and hot springs of Sanbangsan Mountain, and Oedolgae Rock, there is plenty of scope for exploration. What’s more, the popular and historic Jeju Olle Trail runs through the resort, along with a choice of walking trails for exploring the coastline, traditional villages, and native forests.
