The resort is located along a stretch of white powder beach and has a wide selection of restaurants to choose from with a variety of cuisines on offer. The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Canouan is set into the hillside with stunning ocean views and a very experienced team of therapists offering an extensive choice of treatments. For families traveling with young children there is a complimentary kids club for guests aged 3- 12 years (however younger children are welcome to visit with a parent or babysitter) complete with outdoor play area and 2 great kids pools with waterslides and water features.
For golfers the real jewel in the crown at the Mandarin Oriental, Canouan is the amazing 18 hole Jim Fazio-designed golf course, it is the only 18-hole golf course in St Vincent and The Grenadines and has been voted one of the top ten courses to play in the world.
For those wishing to explore, golf carts and bicycles are available and escorted jeep tours and guided hikes up the 240m (787 ft) Mount Royal are also scheduled each day. A flotilla of yachts, catamarans and power boats offer trips to nearby islands, including the world-famous Tobago Cays.
When to visit
The spa is amazing, with many of the therapists from Asia offering treatments from their native countries. I recommend the Balinese massage in particular, had I stayed longer I would have tried them all!!
