Magnificent position overlooking Zermatt with dramatic Matterhorn views
Luxurious and exclusive 5* hotel with fabulous facilities
Relax in the glass and steel Cavern after a day on the slopes
Architecturally stunning hotel with a 007 style entrance
With its position high above the village, and mainly glass structure, The Omnia cuts a striking pose. Reached by a tunnel in the center of the village and a lift direct to the lobby, it delivers some of the best views in the resort over the entire village and the surrounding peaks of Rothorn, Stockhorn, Gornergrat, Monte Rosa, and of course, The Matterhorn. The white oak and grey granite design takes inspiration from European and American mountain lodges, while the décor and custom made furniture is minimalistic and modular. This is one of the finest places from which to explore all that Zermatt has to offer, from the fabulous skiing, to the world class mountain restaurants, and the traditional Swiss charm of the village itself.
The Omnia, along with its bird's eye location, has fabulous facilities. The spacious restaurant serves gastronomic breakfasts and modern, seasonal lunches and dinners, and guests can also eat out on the sun terrace with its surround views. The lounge bar and library are comfortable places to relax, while the Cavern, a man made glass and steel cave deep within the mountain is like entering a whole new world entirely. Floating over water, and equipped with state of the art technology including a complete DJ system, it's a place to watch a film, host a private dinner or party, or just relax. Large fire places feature throughout, including in some of the rooms and suites.
The hotel has 30 rooms, including 12 suites, all of which vary in size and layout, but feature private balconies, most with panoramic views. Bathrooms are spacious and elegant, and the suites feature two each. They all come furnished with a minibar, LCD screen TV and sound system and have free WiFi.
One of the most spectacular features is the wellness center, with in / outdoor pool, Finnish sauna, Turkish bath, caldarium, flower steam room, relax room and outdoor Jacuzzi with a view of the village and the Matterhorn. A fitness room with the latest equipment from Technogym and two massage rooms complete The Omnia's comprehensive facilities.
Zermatt offers some of the best skiing in Europe, and along with its height and position in the Alps, has snow later in the season. Ideal for all levels - the ski schools are excellent for beginners - there is plenty to test everyone. The mountain restaurants are famous, and we are more than happy to make suggestions and bookings for you. The resort also caters very well for non-skiers, with plenty of activities and a range of boutique shops and galleries.
