Thailand has a tropical climate and the driest months to visit are December to March. November and April are also good months to visit and you may get some rain, although it is outside of the monsoon season. May to October is the monsoon with downpours occurring once or twice a day, rather than constant rain.

Itinerary

Day 1-4

Bangkok, Thailand

Kickstart your adventure in the buzzing capital city of Bangkok, it will blow your senses with its energetic and bustling electric vibe. A jumble of old and new, this is the perfect place to discover together, filled with vibrant markets and lively restaurants and bars. Spend half a day with your enthusiastic local guide exploring two of Bangkok’s most iconic sites, the Grand Palace and Wat Pho. Wake early to see the monks gathering for their morning chanting, a deeply spiritual experience that will send shivers down your spine. Continue into the temple to marvel at the vast 45m (148ft) reclining Buddha before heading over to the Grand Palace, a former residence of the much-loved Royal Family, and now housing the country’s most sacred statue, the Emerald Buddha. Your guide will be able to explain the important relationship Thai people have with their king and their religion. We also recommend you leave the city behind for one day and head out into the suburbs to experience one of the best floating markets in the country. Capture this fun and colourful experience, there will be many insta perfect moments to share!

All this while staying at the chic haven of COMO Metropolitan Bangkok, most certainly the coolest hotel in Bangkok oozing an urban edge with Asian flair. Sitting in the center of the action but a peaceful retreat to return at the end of the day with a plethora or nurturing wellness treatments, yoga classes and the infamous Met Bar, sensational cocktails in ‘the’ sought after hangout in the city.

Accommodation: COMO Metropolitan Bangkok ( 3 nights )
Day 4-7

Khao Sok, Thailand

Jump on a plane for the short flight from Bangkok to Phuket, where you will then embark on a stunning three-hour drive north into the primary rainforest of Khao Sok National Park. Your destination is Elephant Hills Tented Camp, one of the best (and humane) elephant trekking camps in the country. While this isn't for the faint-hearted (you are in the jungle after all!), if you like the outdoors and getting close to nature, you will love it. A social communal dining area is at the center of the camp where you can mingle and chat with other couples after your days adventure. The food is divine, using fresh locally sourced Thai ingredients and you can even have a go at learning a little Thai cookery to impress your friends with when you return home.

There are two camps which you will be able to stay, one in the rainforest and one floating on Cheow Larn Lake, allowing you leap straight out into the water, such fun! There is a plethora of activities to try while you are here; elephant encounters, canoeing along the river, swimming in the lake, trekking into the rainforest and more. It really is an action-packed adventure! The tents are basic but perfectly comfortable and the food is delicious. There are no private tours; the activities are conducted on a small group basis, but this means you can meet other like-minded guests.

Accommodation: Elephant Hills Tented Camp ( 3 nights )
Day 7-12

Krabi, West coast beaches and islands, Thailand

Say au revoir to the rainforest, it is now time to head to ultimate paradise on the island of Krabi. Staying at the gorgeous Tubkaak, a stunning boutique beach hotel overlooking the Hong Islands and Koh Yao Noi beyond. Tubkaak retains a distinctly Thai feel with a delightful low-key, informal atmosphere all nestled amongst trees giving a secluded hideaway feel, it is the perfect spot to get away from it all and soak up the relaxed boho beach vibe with stunning views all around.  Scrumptious meals are available at the two restaurants both overlooking the beach giving breath-taking views, offering Thai, seafood and Italian dishes. This really is a little gem tucked away bursting with character and sublime genuine hospitality.

Tubkaak also comes with a range of facilities to keep you occupied such as mountain biking, sea kayaking and various day trips, or why not just indulge at the spa, or simply read a good book on the beach (with a drink in hand). If you are still looking for adventure, explore the nearby islands by speed boat or longtail boat, the snorkeling and diving are fantastic, or you could take a local Thai cookery course. A perfect oasis to share new and special experiences together, before heading home after a truly unforgettable trip.

Accommodation: Tubkaak ( 5 nights )
