Sacromonte is a spectacular boutique property, nestled in the hills of the Sierra de Carapé in Maldonado. Made up of four uniquely designed casitas, which are also referred to as Shelters, guests at Sacromonte can embrace privacy and tranquillity amongst a striking landscape.

Each of the four Shelters are artfully camouflaged into the surrounding landscape, outfitted with mirrored glass walls so to reflect the vineyard, meadow or lake. Although located in different parts of the 250 acre property, all of the casitas boast a private outdoor terrace and garden, a private plunge pool, a master bedroom with separate living area, complete with a crackling wood stove, and a kitchenette. There is also a charming reading nook, which offers enough space to fit two children; and guests are also provided with an off-road electric buggy for full time use during the stay.

With an onsite vineyard, guests can expect to enjoy high-end wines, accompanied by lovingly prepared Uruguayan dishes. With a farm-to-fork concept, produce at Sacromonte is as fresh as it gets.

While relaxation is easily achievable, the property also boasts a plethora of unique activities to take part in, from guided tours at the onsite vineyard, horseback riding through the rolling hills, or indulging in traditional asados where wild boar and roast lamb are cooked to perfection in the local Uruguayan way.

Another fundamental block of Sacromonte is the importance that the property places on environmental and social sustainability. Eco-friendly agricultural processes are practised, two organic gardens are cared for, and eco-friendly construction methods are utilized in the shelters. Please note that wifi is not available on the property due to its remote location.
