Girdwood

Encircled by the glistening snow-capped peaks of the Chugach mountains, Girdwood nestles in an impossibly green valley of temperate rainforest, cut through with hiking and mountain biking trails. Kayak or fly over the nearby Prince William Sound, where otters and whales play in the icy waters and hanging glaciers sparkle in the distance.

Girdwood

With a number of trails leading through the valleys and mountains, from more strenuous hikes that climb up to 2000ft to gentle walks through Borealis rainforest, all abilities are catered for. For spectacular views without the hike, the aerial tram will whisk you up to 2300ft to enjoy stunning panoramas of the surrounding peaks and glaciers.
