Purpose built for cruising the Nile, one of the world’s most historically significant waterways, the five-deck AmaDahlia is part of the elegant AmaWaterways fleet. Guests can choose from 18 staterooms and 16 suites. All include living space, ensuite bathroom, climate control, large flatscreen TV with on-demand movies and personal safe. There are three categories of stateroom with a fixed window, French balcony or twin balcony option. The gourmet cuisine is a highlight of the AmaDahlia. The Main Restaurant serves buffet-style breakfast and lunch, with a three-course dinner served at the table each evening, while the Chef’s Al Fresco specialty restaurant offers open-air dining. Created from locally sourced produce, guests can enjoy regional specialities including Egyptian and North African classics, alongside accomplished international dishes. All meals are included with wine, beer and soft drinks complimentary at both lunch and dinner. There is also a complimentary Sip & Sail cocktail hour, which includes spirits. Complimentary tea, coffee and bottled water is available 24/7.

During the day, the Sun Deck with heated swimming pool, bar and ample seating is a lovely place to take in the views of the passing scenery, while in the evening the Main Lounge offers low-key evening entertainment and cocktails. To keep in shape, there is a fitness room, fitness classes, sauna and Jacuzzi. Guests can also book massage and beauty treatments while onboard.

Trained Egyptologists will also bring to life the ancient wonders of this remarkable part of the world, through guided excursions and experiences, included in the cost of the cruise. These include a trip to the Valley of the Kings, visits to the temples of Luxor, Karnak, Horus, Kom Ombo and Hathor, as well as the chance to experience Luxor Market and a Nubian village.

The AmaDahlia offers roundtrips from Luxor to Aswan and back. Trips can be combined with flights and a hotel stay in Cairo to visit the capital’s impressive museums and the Pyramids at Giza. Flights to both Cairo and Luxor are under 5.5-hrs from London.
