Waterberry Zambezi Lodge is a charming lodge set in tranquil gardens on the banks of the Zambezi River, just 30 minutes from Victoria Falls. The seven thatched cottages are dotted around the grounds and the lodge is a perfect way to start or end a safari.
On the banks of the Zambezi River
Just 30-minutes drive from Livingstone and The Victoria Falls
Peaceful setting with large gardens
Large swimming pool
Set on the banks of the Zambezi, with beautiful views across to the Zimbabwean game reserve on the opposite bank, Waterberry Zambezi Lodge's location is secluded, relaxed and the perfect setting for a wonderful vacation, enjoying all that Livingstone and it's surroundings have to offer as well as the amazing Victoria Falls.
The bedrooms are set in charming thatched cottages, spaced around sweeping lawns, some of them right on the riverbank, others overlooking the tranquil dam. Each cottage has it's own terrace for relaxing on or enjoying private dinners and inside the spacious interiors are open to the high thatch roof and contain comfortable beds sure to give you a good nights sleep, sweeping mosquito nets and overhead fans and air conditioning. There are also two family units with adjoining bedrooms.
The main part of the lodge overlooks the Zambezi and the game park on the other side, there are magnificent views from the main upstairs lounge. Meals are served in the alfresco dining area looking out to the river. There is a large swimming pool set amongst beautiful landscaped lawns and also a small shallow pool at one end, making it perfect for children.
There is a beautiful floating pontoon on the river, a wonderful spot to enjoy sundowners, or from which to fish. Boats are also always available, either for cruising up and down the river, looking for wildlife and birds, or to take you off for fantastic island picnics, or fishing trips.
There is a huge amount to do at Waterberry Lodge, for couples and families alike, from visits to Victoria Falls, to cruises or fishing trips on the Zambezi, or visits to Livingstone Town or the local village. Nature walks and birding are a regular part of the day and the lodge also offers photography workshops.
When walking through Victoria Falls town you may experience hassle from street sellers, normally offering old Zimbabwean currency and small wood carvings. Our advice is to say you are not shopping, and if you would like to buy souvenirs you should go to the official craft market.
