Situated high in the cool foothills of Pinnacle Peak, the Four Seasons Scottsdale is the perfect place to relax among gorgeous scenery, play some seriously challenging golf or explore the surrounding desert. The resort consists of spacious Southwestern-style casitas and suites that are scattered across a boulder-strewn hillside, and ideally situated for easy access to a variety of desert activities and attractions, including hiking, biking, off-road Jeep and Hummer tours and much more.
The casitas and suites are adobe-style, and some of the most luxurious in Arizona, and are extremely spacious, with custom-made furnishings, many sourced from Mexican artisans, and handmade art by the Huichol Indians. Patio doors open to a private landscaped terrace or balcony and magnificent desert views.
Each room has a "beehive" gas-burning fireplace, individually controlled air conditioning and a generously proportioned bathroom with deep soaking tub and separate glass-enclosed shower, while the technology is suitably contemporary. Most suites have telescopes for watching the extraordinary desert night sky, private plunge pools, and outdoor showers.
Service is first rate and the atmosphere friendly and relaxed, and the resort plays host to a number of fun programmes such as cooking in the kitchen with hotel chef Mel Mecinas and poolside margarita-mixing lessons. You can drop your kids off at Kids for All Seasons, secure in the knowledge that they will be kept busy in the games room, on the tennis courts, or at the ping-pong table.
Sweeping desert views and the freshest seasonal cuisine characterize the cuisine at either Talavera, a modern take on a steakhouse, or at the new relaxed Proof restaurant with its modern casual cuisine served indoors or on the terrace, with a focus on American flavours shaped by the piquant flavours of the Southwest
Guests of the Four Seasons Resort enjoy special privileges at both The Pinnacle and The Monument championship golf courses at Troon North Golf Club, as well as guest privileges at the Troon North Clubhouse, and the course regularly features as one of the top courses in North America. If this is too much like hard work, the resort offers a superb spa with a range of desert-inspired treatments and delightful poolside relaxation.
When to visit
Kids will love the new sweet and ice cream bar at Proof restaurant.
