Timber walkways connect the accommodation to the lodge dining room, outdoor riverside lounge area, bar, pool, fitness centre and spa. The accommodation is a chic blend of natural materials, and modern comforts. Each suite features an extra-long King-size bed, Wi-Fi, climate control, Nespresso machine, chic lounge area and ensuite bathroom, as well as an outdoor shower. Guests can also enjoy a private furnished terrace for outdoor living, with a plunge pool and plush loungers. Please note while the suite accommodation benefits from Wi-Fi there is no television, but with so much natural entertainment on offer this is not missed. Guests can watch the wildlife graze along the riverbank and drink the water of this atmospheric river from the comfort of their suites.
The three River Suites face directly onto the Zambezi River, while the two Island Suites face a small tributary of the river. For families, the Mukwa Cottage has two ensuite bedrooms, private dining area, kitchen, and private garden with large swimming pool. The property also has additional amenities, including an ice machine and TV.
The small team of local chefs make excellent use of local produce including mongongo nuts, wild lusala root, matumbula and muchingachinga berries and freshly caught Zambezi bream. The food is delicious with bread baked daily onsite. With all that wonderful food on offer, guests can keep in shape at the fitness centre and book a soothing treatment expertly delivered by members of the spa team.
Accompanied by expert guides, there is a range of activities to enjoy including game drives, animal tracking, boat, and walking safaris. Victoria Falls is just 20-minutes away and guests can book a helicopter flight for an aerial perspective of one of the world’s greatest spectacles. Other activities include a sundowner river cruise, white-water rafting, kayaking and bungee jumping from the famous Victoria Falls Bridge.
