The Hyatt Centric offers visitors to Kanazawa, known as Little Kyoto, both a convenient location and a stylishly comfortable base for exploring the many delights of this enchanting city. Adorned with modern art and sophisticated lighting design, the hotel has the serene feel of both a contemporary gallery and a traditional Japanese teahouse. This blend of old and new works well, with gold leaf artwork, wooden lattice screens, traditional lanterns, and lacquered furnishings, all given a contemporary twist by the hotel’s attractive interior design.
The 253 rooms and suites all reflect the history and spirit of the city. Expect plush beds with stunning headboards crafted from Japanese paper with gold leaf accents, a sofa bed, Bluetooth speaker, small fridge and modern bathroom with separate shower and bathtub. Check in to a Deluxe or Premium Room for additional seating space and more scenic views over Kanazawa. Alternatively, suites are spacious with separate living rooms and an additional guest WC.
International fusion cuisine is served at FIVE, the hotel’s Grill & Lounge. The restaurant uses fresh seasonal ingredients from Horuriku. We’d recommend the signature cherry liqueur cocktail. Up on the 14th floor, the Roof Terrace Bar is a lovely space reminiscent of a traditional teahouse, to relax with a drink and a view.
There is a small gym available to guests, decorated with graphic art based on an old map of the city showing the Kanazawa Marathon route for added inspiration. Along with the latest fitness equipment, there are both weights and yoga mats available 24-hours a day.
