Guests staying at Kwessie Dunes can enjoy a range of activities all included in a stay. Head out with an experienced guide to traverse the NamibRand in a game vehicle and learn about the unique ecology and habitat and how desert-adapted species survive in this semi-arid environment. You will probably see the desert-adapted antelope species, the oryx and you might be lucky enough to see some rarer seen animals like the black backed jackal, or brown hyena. Your guide will also be on hand to take you slowly across the reserve on a nature walk, or speed across on a quad bike. Once the sun sets, there is also the opportunity to enjoy the stars in Africa's first International Dark Sky Reserve from the comfort of your own private star gazing bed.

Other activities which aren't included are day trips to the incredible towering red dunes of Sossusvlei where your guide will take you into the reserve to view and even climb the dunes, as well as visiting the petrified trees of deadvlei. Alternatively, a bucket list experience of floating over the desert in a hot air balloon could also be arranged as well as horse riding and scenic helicopter flights.
