The tiny town of Saga’s is located at the crossroads between Lhasa, Ali and Kashgar on the way to Mount Kailash, straddling the Dargye Tsangpo river. Set at the heart of this little outpost is the Saga Hotel, a simple property with ensuite bedrooms and a neighbouring restaurant serving traditional Tibetan fare. The hotel has western style rooms, modestly decorated with hardwood furniture and clean, white linen. The best hotel in town, it is the perfect place to rest and refuel on the way to Tibet’s most sacred peak, Mount Kailash, or to Lake Manasarovar the “Immortal Lake of Jade”.
