Hotel Borg

The Hotel Borg is located right in the centre of Reykjavik, within easy reach of shops, restaurants, and nightlife. It has 99 rooms, including luxurious and spacious suites, very smart twin and double rooms, and well-appointed single rooms. The Hotel Borg has been a favourite over the years for visitors from all over the world thanks to its high standard of service and the understated elegance of its rooms and public areas. 

The refurbishment of the Hotel during the last few years has remained true to the 30s art deco style in which the Borg was built by its founder, a renowned Olympian and strongman of the early 20th century. Even the rooms in the newer parts of the hotel boast antique Art Deco fixtures and knick knacks, combined with more modern Bang and Olufsen televisions and Philippe Starck fittings in the black and white bathrooms, which have heated marble floors.

The Hotel Borg is located on one of the central squares of Reykjavik, very close to the Icelandic parliament building and all the shops, bars, and restaurants of this compact capital city.

The hotel is also home to Jamie's Italian and the Kaffibrennslan bar serves coffees during the day and cocktails and aperitifs in the evening to both guests and non-residents.
