The Aman Tokyo is in a great location, around the corner from the Imperial Palace Gardens right next to Tokyo Station (which is perfect if you are jumping onto the bullet train to Kyoto following your stay) and a collection of superb restaurants and shopping opportunities. The views from the Aman Tokyo are fabulous.
The Aman Tokyo boasts the largest lead-in rooms in Tokyo, starting with their Deluxe Rooms at an impressive 71 square metres. The design is quintessentially Aman - those clear, sleek lines and minimalist understated chic, which all Aman fans have come to love so much. Each Aman hotel incorporates design elements from the destination it is located, so expect subtle nods to traditional Japanese structures, the use of camphor wood, washi paper and exposed stonework. We love the large traditional deeply set Japanese soaking tub which you will find in each room.
Located on the 33rd floor, the Restaurant by Aman serves Mediterranean cuisine, with a selection of Asian and Japanese dishes. There is also a cafe and wine cellar. The Aman spa covers almost 2,500 square metres and contains eight treatment rooms, a 30-metre swimming pool and a fitness centre.
Aman Hotels always have the knack of re-writing the book when they open their hotels - and the Aman Tokyo is very much a sanctuary from Tokyo's vivacious spirit - it provides elegant, understated luxury at its very best.
