After a beautiful flight over the fertile Kikuyu Highlands before reaching the Great rift valley. The Olare Lamun mobile camp is nestled in a grove of acacia trees next to a small stream. You will arrive in camp and have a delicious lunch before heading out on your first gentle evening ride.
Your second morning in Olare Lamun Camp will be spent on an exhilarating early morning ride followed by a light breakfast, before setting out on a game drive and walk up a nearby hill which offers some superb scenery. The afternoon will be spent visiting the local Masai Village.
The tents used on mobile safaris are spacious 10ft by 9ft tents with twin camp beds, mattresses, sheet and blankets. Towels, soap and torches are provided and there is a gas lamp and hurricane lamp in each tent. In addition, each tent has a private long drop toilet and bucket showers are always available.
Offbeat matches you with a horse, all of which are well-trained and of high quality stock that are used to the varied terrain as well as the wildlife, including big game, that you are likely to encounter. Their guides are very experienced to ensure a safe and highly enjoyable ride. Guests should be considered as experienced riders and comfortable at all paces and be able to gallop out of trouble. You can expect to spend between four and seven hours in the saddle each day with a generous break for lunch. Set departures take a minimum of four and a maximum of 12 riders.
