Private Best of Boquete Tour

Sitting in the shadows of the Baru Volcano amid the spectacular Chiriqui Highlands, Boquete offers superlative hiking and birdwatching opportunities. This full day starts with a chance to discover the gushing waterfalls of the aptly named Waterfall Trail, with a hike through the rainforest, home to both exotic birds and wildlife. After this wonderful experience you will head to the entrance of the famous Quetzal Trail, to enjoy a picnic lunch before setting off on a scenic walk, through cloud forest, bamboo woodland, and rolling green pastures threaded with crystal-clear streams. The bird and wildlife are prolific and there’s the opportunity to see the rare and beautiful Resplendent Quetzal birds. Your guide will mimic the birds’ call to entice them out from their hiding places.

If your energy levels are dropping, you will welcome the chance for a coffee tasting experience. The area is known for its coffee plantations, and you’ll be able to taste a variety of different roasts and blends. The day ends with a trip to the relaxing hot springs of Caldera, around 30-minutes from Boquete. Here you can laze in hot springs, before diving into the cool waters of the Caldera River, leaving you refreshed and revitalised.

The tour lasts a full day and includes transportation to and from your hotel, an English-speaking naturalist guide and all entrance fees. We recommend wearing hiking shoes, long trousers, a rain jacket, sunglasses, sunscreen, and hat. Lunch, juice, snacks, and water are provided. To enhance the experience we suggest bringing binoculars, swimwear, towel, and additional water supplies.
