Mahogany Springs Safari Lodge takes its name from the 400 year old mahogany tree that towers majestically above the lodge gardens. It is situated in the South Western corner of Uganda, offering impressive views of the natural surrounds. Accommodation at the lodge consists of superior suites containing twin, double or triple capabilities. Each Suite has a uniquely designed terrace with a panoramic view of the stunning surrounds. A presidential Suite is also on offer to guests with the minimum of three people required. Two bedrooms and two en-suite bathrooms are in this suite combined with a large private terrace overlooking the river and facing the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. The main area of Mahogany Springs is also expertly designed including a dining area, lounge and bar with a panoramic terrace. The lodge bar can provide guests with a wide variety of wines and beverages along with the in-house restaurant offering an array of worldly cuisine.

There are many activities to take part in throughout guests stay at the lodge including the most famous, gorilla tracking. This a highlight and a main focus of people travelling to Uganda creating a lifetime experience that is never forgotten. Pre purchased permits must be obtained along with a number of other regulations including 8 visitors per family and a time limit of one hour. Other activities on offer include bird watching, tree planting, various nature walks, a Mahogany Springs Garden Tour and learning about the local culture by meeting people from the Batwa tribe, the indigenous forest dwellers also known as pygmies.

Mahogany Springs lodge is located to in the northern side of Bwindi National Park in the Buhoma area.

Bwindi Impenetrable forest can be accessed through Kigali, Rwanda, or fly from Entebbe to Bwindi by Charter flight followed by a 2 hour road transfer to the lodge.
