Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge

Nkuringo Bwindi Gorilla Lodge is eco-friendly and being based a stones throw away from the Gorilla Trekking activity makes it the perfect accommodation for adventure lovers! Due to the lodge being based on a ridge, it gives you an amazing vantage across the Kashasha river valley through to the forested hill known as ‘Nkuringo’ surrounded by the flourishing trees in of the Bwindi Forest. Living in this area of the forest is, of course, the Nkuringo Mountain Gorillas. The camp also offers panoramic views of the majestic volcanoes of the Virunga chain.

The lodge is made up of four en-suite cottages, six en-suite Virunga Terrace rooms and a family cottage that sleeps up to 5 people. The ensuite cottages are private and intimately hand-crafted with a spacious terrace. To make your stay feel as special to you as possible, each cottage is individually designed and individually named as Nyrirangongo, Nyiramuragira, Karisimbi and Virunga. Your cottage can also be arranged however you prefer, with double or twin occupancy. All the cottages are, of course, all solar powered.

The six Virunga Terrace rooms, Sabinyo, Gahinga, Mikeno, Gahinga, Visoke and Muhavura, all have ensuite facilities and a front terrace, also with the back window offering stunning sights of the Virunga Volcanoes.

The family cottage, Nteko and Kasahasha, is a two-in-one family cottage meaning it can be used for a family, or made into two private cottages if that suits your needs better. Each cottage has its own terrace and en-suite facilities. They are also fit with a fire place, have a sitting area and a balcony with a private entrance to each cottage.
