EcoCamp Patagonia
  • The camp’s prime location, at the start of the most classic trails, means you can be one of the first to reach the famed lookout points

  • Individual domes connected by wooden walkways are a comfortable place to call home for a few days and falling asleep is easy while gazing through the ceiling windows towards the starry night sky

  • It’s worth waking up early – you’ll be treated to a special sunrise as the iconic Paine Massif is shroud in a glow of technicolor. Watching the sunset with a pisco sour isn’t too bad either!

  • What sets this property apart is their eco-friendly ethos and drive towards complete sustainability, helping to minimize the human impact on the park

This award-winning eco-hotel is an industry leader in sustainable lodging. While the dome concept is now popular amongst aficionados of the great outdoors across the globe, EcoCamp Patagonia was actually the first of its kind, inspired by the ancient dwellings of the region’s Kaweskar tribe. The camp boats a privileged location in the heart of the park. Choose from multi-sport adventures, some of the region’s most famous and outstanding hikes or wildlife safaris – EcoCamp Patagonia has an impressive array of activities and programs on offer, guaranteed to satisfy even the most adventurous traveler.

The suite domes at EcoCamp offer a truly unique lodging experience: each of these sustainable domes stands alone, set apart from its neighbors, ensuring total privacy and a feeling of seclusion. With an eco-friendly ethos at its core, each Suite Dome is best described as offering rustic luxury and consists of a king or two twin beds, a private terrace, a low-emission wood stove, local decoration and furnishings, a propane heater in the bathroom and a state-of-the-art composting toilet. There is also a Suite Dome Loft, which offers the same comforts as the Suite Domes but includes a loft space with two extra single beds and so is a great option for families. Each dome is powered by a combination of hydraulic and solar energy and as such, electricity is very limited inside the domes. While laptops and cameras may be charged, hairdryers are not permitted.

A hearty buffet breakfast is served in the dining domes with a view to the magnificent sierras. A daily packed lunch is provided for guests to take out on excursions before returning to the domes for a delicious three course dinner combining Chilean and Patagonian flavors and utilizing only the freshest, locally sourced (often grown onsite) ingredients. In the evenings, head to the bar dome for its wood burning stoves, sofas and cozy chairs to enjoy a craft beer, fine Chilean wine or the nation’s favorite cocktail, a pisco sour. It’s also in the bar dome where the daily briefings are held and guides reveal to guests the details of what awaits on the next day’s excursions.

A yoga class, suitable for all abilities, is offered twice a day for those wishing to start their day with energising stretches or ease tired muscles upon their return from the day’s activities. As an additional treat, massages are now offered in the camp’s brand-new wellness dome.
