The first trimaran to be built in Ecuador, the three hulls of the Galapagos Horizon bring added benefits to Galapagos cruising. These include faster navigation times, saving time between island visits and landing sites; increased stability, providing a smoother ride and no internal hull vibration, resulting in noticeable noise reduction. In short, the cruising is faster, smoother, and quieter. What’s more, the ship has reduced fuel consumption, increasing its sustainability.
The ship has a maximum of just 16 passengers and a crew to passenger ratio of 10:16, making life aboard an intimate and personal experience, with superb levels of service. There are eight spacious cabins, all with private balconies. Each one is decorated with a large mural depicting an underwater wildlife scene. Guests can choose between King or Twin Beds, and all include an ensuite shower room with hairdryer and L’Occitane toiletries, seating area, safety deposit box and furnished balcony. The benefits of the trimaran design ensure smooth sailing, meaning restful nights.
Guests enjoy local and international cuisine in the elegant dining room, with vegan options always available and kosher meals on request. There is also a separate lounge for chatting with fellow passengers. The ample deck space is a feature of the ship and is ideal for wildlife watching, lounging, relaxing in the Jacuzzi, and al fresco dining. The Horizon provides snorkeling gear and wetsuits, along with stand-up paddleboards and kayaks, so guests can get as close as possible to some of the most fascinating wildlife on the planet.
