After descending the escarpment, you will make your way through the Mara Triangle on route to Offbeat Mara River Mobile Camp. This is the final mobile camp of your adventure and is set up on the banks of the Mara River. The Camp is close to some known hippo pools so expect to hear their grunting throughout the night, this makes the camp special and a fantastic location to spend the next two nights.
The Mara River mobile camp is a good base to explore the area on further morning and evening rides, with opportunities to cross the river close to the hippos cooling off in the African sun. After breakfast there is also the option of a walk or safari drive which will give you further opportunities for fantastic wildlife photography.
The tents used on mobile safaris are spacious 10ft by 9ft tents with twin camp beds, mattresses, sheet and blankets. Towels, soap and torches are provided and there is a gas lamp and hurricane lamp in each tent. In addition, each tent has a private long drop toilet and bucket showers are always available.
