Hog Hollow Country Lodge is set on the edge of an indigenous forest, and has exceptional views of the dramatic surrounding countryside, over the tree tops. Accommodation is in whitewashed cottages, with king size or twin beds, hand crafted artefacts, a well stocked minibar, fireplaces and en-suite facilities. Each has a wooden deck overlooking the ravine.
The main lodge houses the bar, huge yellowwood dining table, sitting room, library and pool terrace, all positioned to thoroughly appreciate this unique setting. It is here that guests meet each evening and eat dinner together. Hog Hollow prides itself on its cuisine which is served under the auspices of co-owner and chef, Mark. Fine local cuisine can also be enjoyed at the hotel's boma. The Ficus lounge is home to an ancient fruit-laden tree which is a favourite with Plettenberg's prolific bird community.
The activities available are numerous, suiting people of all ages and abilities. Activities at an additional charge include golf, river cruises, cycle trails, boat trips, bunjee jumping, ski diving, horse riding, scuba diving, fishing and salt water fly fishing.
