You won't find a more stunning setting for a camp than right in the middle of Tarangire National Park, a stone's throw from the banks of the Tarangire River. This unique spot is the opportune place for watching wildlife strolling leisurely from the hills in the west to the swamps in the east whilst sipping sundowners on the veranda of your tent. Here huge herds of elephant are drawn to the water during the dry season and the camp offers wonderful walking safaris as well as game and night drives in open 4WD vehicles.
The camp is small and secluded, with only six tents, providing you with ultimate privacy and peace. Each of these tents is equipped with a comfortable big bed, en-suite indoor and out door bucket shower and flushing toilet. The stylish and comfortable tents and open-sided thatched lounge and dining area provide an eco-friendly haven, leaving no trace of its existence behind when it moves on at the end of the season.
Whether you're looking to relax at the camp gazing out at the beautiful landscape dotted with Baobab trees, or head out into the bush in search of the elusive leopard or the huge herds of buffalo, Kuro Tarangire is the place to head to if what you are looking for is a truly authentic bush experience.
Kuro Tarangire is a dry season camp open between June and Mid March; the time of hot days and cool nights and prime time for the elephant migration which fills the park and offers some superb wildlife viewing.
