A 300-year-old thatched farmhouse in the lesser explored east Iya region. There is a total of eight farmhouses in random style. Each farmhouse has its own unique room layout and structure. Though the thatched-roof exterior preserves an antique look, the interior is equipped with the most advanced features including bathroom, air conditioning, linen towels, floor heating and many more.
The farmhouse also provides cooking utensils, induction heating, and basic condiments to allow the guests to cook for themselves with their own ingredients. There will also be an opportunity to invite the local villagers to your place to dish up some local dishes with the fresh local ingredients for you or get the food delivered to your doorstep from the nearby restaurant at an additional cost. With the impressive view of mountains of Iya, you can also rent a barbeque set to enjoy some barbecuing in the garden of the farmhouse.
Be sure to savor the rich culture and the beautiful landscape the Iya Vally exhibit. Stay at these farmhouses allows you to take a step back in time and experience the simpler things in life. Enjoy your encounter with the local people or just slow down and enjoy the view. For the hiking enthusiasts, keep a day for your hike at Mount Tsurugi and be rewarded with an even more spectacular view.
