Depart after breakfast to Bedugal Regency. Located in the central highlands, here you'll find the three impressive caldera lakes of Beratan, Buyan and Tamblingan. From here, visit the market at Candi Kuning where a plethora of fresh fruits and exotic spices are on offer.

As your driver takes you further north make an essential stop at the famous Ulun Danu Temple and 17th century Hindu Shivaite water temple. Located on Lake Beratan the latter appears to be floating especially during the rainy season.

From here head on to the naturally heated springs at Banjar, surrounded by carved serpent deities (nagas) where many islanders come to embrace its nourishing waters. Lunch is served in coastal Lovina after which you are invited to take a stroll around the colonial streets of the former Dutch capital of Bali, Singaraja (meaning "Lion King").

Finally before returning to your hotel, explore the jungle and find the 40m Gitgit Waterfall, well worth a visit.
